Privacy Policy

We take your data seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Account data. When you sign up, we receive your email address, name, and (if you sign in with Google) your Google account identifier through Clerk, our authentication provider.
Service data. Anything you create inside Orient — decisions, tasks, goals, principles, chat messages, business context, weekly reviews, deep-research dossiers — is stored in our database so the product can work.
Usage data. We log model calls (prompt size, cost, latency, purpose) for cost monitoring and quality improvement. We do not sell this data.
Where it lives
Your data is stored in Neon (Postgres), in the Singapore region (ap-southeast-1). Authentication is handled by Clerk. The application runs on Vercel and on our own infrastructure in Singapore.
Who else sees it
To produce responses, we send the relevant context to a third-party AI service provider. That provider’s data handling is governed by their own policies.
For billing, we send your email and subscription details to Stripe through Clerk Billing. Stripe handles payment information; we never see your card details.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
Cookies
We use the minimum cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Your rights
You can access and export your data from your account settings, correct anything that is wrong, or delete your account — which removes your data from our active systems within 30 days (backups are purged on their normal rotation).
Under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you also have the right to access and correct your personal data and to withdraw consent at any time.

Children
Orient is not intended for users under 18.
Retention
We keep your data as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, we remove it from active systems within 30 days and from backups on their normal rotation cycle.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
